Galery Information
The gallery opened in 1989 with the exhibition
"Labyrinth: New Art from Moscow" near Hamburg,
showing 300 works by 77 artists of the Perestroika
period under M. Gorbachev, which attracted
approximately 12,000 visitors. All activities were
focused on artists representing the so called
"Second Avant-garde" (Russian art beginning in
the fifties of the last century, such as geometrical
abstraction, soz-art and concept art). After re-
opening in 2001 in Berlin Mitte, the program was
extended to the young generation, living partly in
Berlin, partly in Moscow.
